Alternatives to Violence – a collaborative space to explore how we respond to conflict and build trust, accountability and stronger connections. 
Trauma Resiliency – experiential practices for releasing pain, reconnecting with ourselves and healing together. 
Discernment – time to slow down, reflect and make grounded choices rooted in awareness and care. 

Power of Goodness extension (9-13 July) – community events and workshops that weave AVP games, English-conversation practice and daily spiritual reflection into real-world peacemaking. 

The training gathers youth and citizen leaders of all faiths who want to resist violence and nurture cultures of peace through empowerment, resiliency and clear discernment.

Every Saturday morning from October 2023, at 1903 Square at the top of Trafalgar Street, Nelson, and various other locations, people rallied in support of the people of Gaza and against the bombing, blockade, and killing of Palestinian children, women and men by Israeli military forces.  Now each week there are rallies, letter writing events addressing the PM and Foreign Affairs Minister, or other events calling for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian assistance for the people in Gaza.  Sign up for weekly email at palestinenelson@gmail.com
